The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome, and the landlord stopped for a chat with us too.
It was a bit of a trek out there from Cheltenham, but well worth it so will definitely go there again.

All three of us chose smoked salmon, prawns and cream cheese to start. What can I say, the presentation was superb (see photo), outstanding dressing and beautiful smoked salmon; and to top it all, excellent French Toast.
Now, the three mains: beef, lamb and pork, all with crisp roast potatoes, creamed parsnip, braised carrots, tender sweet broccoli, cauliflower cheese and shredded greens, Absolutely perfectly cooked and well presented. Certainly plenty for those with a big appetite.
My only disappointment was that the crumble was gone by the time I came to order so that means I will need to return as the ones I saw looked absolutely delicious.
All the staff were brilliant, entertaining and helpful.
It is no wonder that The Oak commands such a high rating from its customers. We had travelled from Stratford upon Avon to take my sister to lunch, it was worth the journey.
